最好的纪念

—为中美“乒乓外交”50周年而作

我赞赏，
历史的车轮有时会熠熠闪光。

50年前，
从名古屋到北京、华盛顿，
地球在旋转，
银球在飞翔。
领袖的胆略和智慧，
让世界格局悄悄变样。

1972年，基辛格博士在上海说，
美国不挑战海峡两岸一个中国的信念。
虽然已经存在两千年的事实，
但为中美关系正常化带来曙光。

42年前，
两个伟大国家的大门正式开启，
开门吉祥。
“太空城”是个福地，
休斯敦总领事馆在这里第一个开张。

我惋惜，
历史的列车有时也会脱轨遭殃。

当今世界困难、障碍伴随动乱，
霸权、冷战、制裁横行嚣张。
小球推动大球，
又被爱好和平的人民寄予厚望。
王曼昱和卡纳克、张安和林高远完美配对，
是团结、和谐、合作鲜活立体的形象。
赛场精彩拼搏，
赢得一萝辉煌。
数千只白鸽展翅歌唱，
友谊地久天长！

The Best Way of Commemoration

--Lines to the 50th anniversary of Sino-U.S.“Ping Pang Diplomacy”

I can not but marvel,
The wheel of history may roll on with splendors.

50 years ago,
From Nagoya to Beijing and Washington,
The earth was spinning,
The silver balls were flying.
The great leader’s wisdom, courage and resources
Enabled the world patterns to change quietly.

In 1972 Dr Kissinger stated solemnly in Shanghai,
America does not challenge the one-China belief
Held by Chinese on both sides of the Taiwan Straights.
Though the fact has existed for up to two thousand years,
It made us to see the dawn of normalization of Sino-U.S. relations.

42 years ago,
The doors of the two great nations were officially opened with good fortune.
The “City of Space”is a land of promises.
The Consulate General of the People’s Republic in Houston
was the first Chinese establishment in here.

I can not but feel pity,
The train of history may derail with disasters.

The world is now involved in difficulties, obstacles and turmoil.
Hegemony, cold wars and sanctions are ruling the day rampantly.
The small balls--Ping Pang are rotating the globe.
That is still the great hope cherished by peace-loving people in the world.
Ms. Wang Manyu and Mr. Kanak, Ms. Zhang An and Mr. Lin Gaoyuan
Are Historical China—USA mixed doubles pairs.
They are vivid and stereoscopic images of unity, harmony and cooperation.
Their wonderful performance in the contest field
Won cheers and applause resounding all over the world.
Thousands of doves were singing with their wings,
Of Auld Lang Syne!
