1. They sleep more than 8 hours a day

Sleep deprivation will kill you faster than eating a hamburger a day.

If you want to be the healthiest person you know, treat your sleep routine as an investment in your quality of life, because it is.

Get at least 8 hours of sleep every night… period.

It is the best thing you can do for your health and well-being.

2. They eat whole foods but don't follow a "Diet"

Diets can actually be LESS healthy than including some processed foods and sugary junk.

If you are avoiding social events and stressing yourself out because you are on a specific diet, the truth is that you are doing yourself more harm than good.

The healthiest people I know have a diet that consists mostly of whole, nutritious foods, but they're willing to give it up once in a while so they can truly enjoy life and feel good.

Eat healthy, but don't dwell on the matter so much here.

3. They spend time with positive people

Social connections are the #1 indicator of long-term happiness and well-being.

Chronic loneliness and isolation are worse for your health than smoking 30 cigarettes a day (it's not really).

The healthiest people I know are surrounded by other positive and healthy people.

Get out of your bubble and spend more time interacting with other humans socially. This is a MUST for a healthy life.

4. They meditate

Or they have some kind of mindfulness practice.

Every healthy person I know has some kind of these practices to get out of their minds and live in the present moment.

Whether it's meditation, walking, a sensory isolation tank, or yoga; you need to do something to cultivate mindfulness.

5. Sweat at least 30 minutes a day.

This is obvious.

Healthy people exercise and exercise daily.

So break a sweat for 30 minutes a day and you'll feel 10 times better and fuller.

6. They live an active lifestyle

Just because you don't exercise doesn't mean you're not living an active lifestyle.

If you work in an office or behind a desk, supplement your day with mini breaks where you walk around your office, do calisthenics, or stretch as well.

Never let more than 45 minutes pass without moving and let the blood flow run optimally through your body.

7. They are kind to themselves

Healthy people treat each other with kindness.

They don't get caught up in negative talk or treat themselves poorly.

They express gratitude and forgiveness towards themselves, at the same time allowing themselves to be imperfect.

Understand that you are human and will make mistakes, this way you will be much happier and healthier than ever before.

8. They laugh and smile regularly

Healthy people are happy people, they laugh and smile daily.

Watch comedies, funny TV shows and take 20 minutes for this, you can also use Netflix or watch funny videos on YouTube.

Do something every day that makes you laugh.

This is one of the healthiest things you can do.

9. They have clear goals and a vivid vision of their future.

The healthiest people on earth have a vivid vision that drives them to success.

They have goals and aspirations that they are excited about and that are moving them forward.

There's a reason retirees die young.

When you don't have activities to occupy your time and goals to pursue, life becomes dull and dull.

You should always have 2–4 big goals that you are actively pursuing, even if you are retired.

10. They have close and intimate relationships

Healthy people have intimate connections with at least one partner.

They have someone in their life whom they trust and with whom they share physical intimacy.

If you don't have a romantic partner right now, make this a priority.

The right partner will improve every aspect of your life, but be careful… the wrong person will damage every aspect.
