牛头犬在街上咬死一名妇女

A second-degree murder charge is warranted for a 29-year-old Southern California man whose pit bulls allegedly mauled a jogger to death because he had four other violent dogs destroyed in 2006, among other vicious attacks, Los Angeles County prosecutors said Friday. Sheriff's homicide Lt. John Corina told The Los Angeles Times authorities are aware of at least three incidents in which Alex Jackson's dogs attacked people or horses this year, in addition to the mauling that killed Pamela Devitt, 63.

因豢养的4条牛头犬在街上咬死一名妇女，美国加州一男子被控二级谋杀并被判处15年至终身监禁。

　　2013年5月9日上午约9时，63岁的退休妇女帕梅拉·德维特在小石城115街和S大街交界处散步，附近居民杰克逊的4条牛头犬越过围栏冲上街头，攻击德维特，德维特没带手机，附近没人，开车经过的人看到后报警，等救援人员赶到时，德维特在送往医院路上因失血过多死亡。

　　法医尸检报告显示，德维特从头到脚遍布伤痕，大约有近200处撕咬伤口，有的深达骨头，一只胳膊受伤最重。

　　洛杉矶郡警方搜查时发现杰克逊院子里种有大麻，他还是一名毒贩，养了8条牛头犬看护毒品，至少7次因攻击他人被当局警告过。

　　警方立即逮捕杰克逊，保释金100万美元。

　　今年8月29日，杰克逊被洛杉矶郡检察官办公室控二级谋杀，罪名成立。

　　检方认为，杰克逊明知牛头犬危险，但没有对邻居和德维特的死亡采取任何防范措施。

　　检方向洛杉矶郡高等法院寻求24年至终身监禁，法院3日判处杰克逊15年至终身监禁。

　　2001年，旧金山一名大学曲棍球女教练在公寓走道被邻居的两条大狗咬伤致死，该邻居被控二级谋杀成立，2008年获刑15年至终身监禁。
