生于忧患

入则无法家拂士，出则无敌国外患者，国恒亡。然后知生于忧患，而死于安乐也。

If there is no ministers of legalism, no scholars providing counseling on domestic affairs, if there is no threatenings of foreign aggression or harassments, the State will for sure perish. From history we’ve learned that  solicitude and hardships enable us to grow and prosper, while smug and indulgence in pleasure will lead to one’s doom.
