Loyal ministers do not seek personal gains; those who are rapacious in chasing personal gains are not loyal. Integrity and dedication to the public interests and justice are the requirements for ministers and all court officials. -《Hou Hanshu (Book of Later Han) Vol. 4》
Filial piety and respectfulness, benevolence and righteousness, are pinnacles of moral standards for people of all walks of life; you will be successful if practising them in your conduct; they are fundamentals in one's life. Filial piety and respectfulness bring peace and harmony to the family and the entire clan. With benevolence and righteousness, you gain esteem from the community and colleagues. As we cultivate these virtues, you will be successful within, and gain good reputation without.
