孔子说，三军可夺帅也，匹夫不可夺志 也。 《论语 · 子罕》

 The marshal of the three armies can be captured，but the will of a common man cannot be forced to alter.

孔子说，“岁寒，然后知松柏之后凋 也 。” 《论语 · 子罕》

Only in severe cold by the year end does one see that the pine and cypress trees will not wither.

曾子说，"士不可以不弘毅，任重而道 远。仁以为己任，不亦重乎。死而后已，不 亦远乎" 。《论语 · 泰伯》

 Officials must be farsighted and determined, for he is entrusted with great responsibilities and has a long way to go. Isn't it great to practise benevolence as his own duty? Isn't it a long way to keep doing so all the time till his death?
