王汉(1884-1905)近代民主革命者。湖北蕲水(今浠水)人。早年受传统封建教育。在民族危机的刺激下，倾向革命，研究军事，尤好剑术。1904年7月，与吕大森、刘静庵等创建湖北科学补习所，以“革命排满”为宗旨，借研究科学为名，在学校和新军中进行革命活动。后谋响应黄兴等将在湖南发动的起义。因长沙起义事发，清政府下令对科学补习所进行搜查。他与胡瑛藏枪械于鹦鹉洲，以备再起。1905年，清户部侍郎铁良南下江苏、浙江、江西、安徽、湖北等省搜括钱财。他切齿痛恨，决意暗杀之。于是自武昌尾随铁良至河南彰德，寻机枪击铁良，未击中。他混入人丛中逃回旅馆，在清军大搜捕中，投井自尽。
Introduction to the poet:  Wang Han (1884-1905) was a modern democratic revolutionary. He was born in Qishui (now Xishui), Hubei Province. In his early years, he received traditional feudal education. He was stimulated by the national crisis, leaned towards revolution, studied military affairs, and was particularly skilled in swordsmanship. In July 1904, he co-founded the Hubei Science Tutoring Institute with Lü Dasen, Liu Jing'an, and others, with the aim of "revolution to expel the Manchus". Under the guise of researching science, he carried out revolutionary activities in the school and the New Army. Later he planned to respond to the uprising that Huang Xing and others would launch in Hunan Province. Due to the leak of planned Changsha Uprising, the Qing government ordered a search of the Science Tutoring Institute. He and Hu Ying hid their firearms on Parrot Island in Wuhan, Hubei Province, for future use. In 1905, the Minister of Revenue of the Qing Dynasty, Tie Liang, went south to Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Anhui, Hubei and other provinces to search for money. He hated him bitterly and decided to assassinate him. So, he followed Tie Liang from Wuchang to Zhangde, Henan Province, and took the opportunity to shoot Tie Liang, but missed. He infiltrated the crowd and fled back to the hotel. He committed suicide by jumping into a well during the Qing army's large-scale manhunt.
