The Rushmore offered assistance to distressed mariners in the waters between the Indonesian islands of Kalimantan and Sulawesi. ℠2015 – Secretary of Defense Ash Carter participated in the official change-of-office ceremony as Navy Adm. John Richardson assumes duties as the Chief of Naval Operations at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, Sept. 18. Adm. Richardson replaces Adm. Jonathan Greenert as the 30th CNO.
