Once a refugee himself, Albert Einstein went on to win the Nobel Prize. But he isn't the only one who brought his talents to the U.S.—refugees have helped shape our great nation for generations. From teachers and farmers, to lawyers and nurses, Syrian refugees are looking for a safe haven free of violence for themselves and their families. Slamming the door in the face of these refugees fleeing precisely the type of senseless violence that occurred in Paris last week would be a betrayal of our values.
