A Surprise Visit from the President

On Friday, President Obama traveled to Gilbert, AZ to pay a surprise visit to the new home of Sergeant First Class Cory Remsburg. Cory is an Army Ranger who has made remarkable progress since he suffered a brain injury while serving in Afghanistan several years ago.

This was the final stop in the President's day-long trip, which began with a visit to the Phoenix VA medical facility and a roundtable discussion with VA Secretary Bob McDonald, Deputy Secretary Sloan Gibson, and veterans to hear about the progress we've made to improve the VA's ability to serve our veterans. The President also announced the launch of The MyVA Advisory Committee, which will advise the VA on additional ways that it can improve on delivering care to our veterans.

See the President's surprise visit and learn more about how the VA is working to better serve our veterans.
