A Statement by the President:

President Obama addressed the American people this morning regarding a U.S. counterterrorism operation that occurred in January.

The President directed that the information being shared today be declassified, and asked the American people to keep Dr. Weinstein's and Mr. Lo Porto's families in their thoughts and prayers.
