President Obama Celebrates White House Mentees:

Yesterday, President Obama took part in a ceremony honoring the D.C.-area high school students in this year's White House Mentorship and Leadership Program.

The President said the year was "a great, mutual learning relationship between me and these outstanding young people," calling it "a privilege" to hear about the lives, hopes, and dreams of these young men of color.

3 Years Later, Hundreds of Thousands of DREAMers Continue to Benefit from Deferred Action Policy

Three years ago, the Department of Homeland Security announced it would implement a policy to make our immigration enforcement policies smarter and more representative of our values as a nation. The policy, called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (or DACA), has allowed many young people who were brought to the United States as children to step out of the shadows so they can fully contribute to our economy and our society.

Expanding the Reach of National Service in Baltimore

Wendy Spencer, CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service, joined local leaders and national service members and volunteers for a combined service project and grant announcement in Baltimore to announce $4.4 million in new investments to expand service programs in the city.
