Most years, we keep what's going to be in the President's State of the Union address a secret until the night of the speech.
That's changing this year.
Because the fact is that this Administration isn't going to wait for anybody when it comes to taking whatever steps we can to help the middle class and keep strengthening our economy.
And that's why these past few weeks, the President's been making key announcements about his priorities for the year ahead, and how we're taking action on them now. That means making community college free for those willing to work hard for it. It means paving the way for more competition and cheaper, faster options for high-speed Internet in cities and towns across the country. It means expanding our support of the rights of working folks to take time off when they're sick or caring for a loved one.
But the President's got a whole lot more to say -- so I'd make sure I was watchingthis Tuesday if I were you.
After Tuesday, we've only got one of these addresses left in this Administration, folks. Make sure you know where we stand, and where we're going.
Thank you,
Vice President Joe Biden
