“太平洋”的心愿

我的名字“太平洋”，
人们总称赞我的浩瀚、宽容和友善。
多数邻岸和岛国都给我细心呵护和尊严。
我爱护我的盛名高于天。

有的岛国宣布，
要把它的核污水排向海面。
有的岸国竟宣称，
支持感谢够厚颜。
这将毁掉我的容貌，
是何等的无耻荒诞！

有的岸国船舰在海上横行霸道，
制造麻烦和混乱。
无时不加快我的心跳，
无处不把我的梦境侵犯。

我真诚地不愿看到，
把脏水泼向我的脸面；
我真诚地不愿看到，
不测风云破坏平静的港湾；
我真诚地不愿看到，
珍珠港悲剧重演。
我真诚地不愿看到，
有些人的恶劣行为，
把我的真名“太平”背叛！

Wishes of “Pacific Ocean”

My name is “Pacific Ocean”,
People always admire my vast expansion, generosity and kind mind,
Almost coastal and island countries render delicate care and respect to me.

     I prize my good fame as higher than the sky.
An island country announces that
It will release its nuclear radioactive waste water into the ocean,
And a coastal country has the impudence to extend its support and thanks.
This will spoil my beauty,
What a shameless absurdity!

A coastal country’s naval ships run amuck on the ocean,
Making trouble and turmoil.
Yet it keeps haunting my dream,
And ubiquitously quickening my heartbeat.

I sincerely hate to see
To splash dirty water at my face;
I sincerely hate to see
Sudden thunderstorms to disturb my calm seas;
I sincerely hate to see
The heavy story of Pearl Harbor to repeat;
I sincerely hate to see
Some people’s deeds my real name “pacific”betray!
