About the Department & University -

As one of the key universities of China, Nankai University was founded in 1919, and is situated in one of the 4 municipalities under the jurisdiction of the the central government. The College of Foreign Languages has been built on the basis of the four earliest majors, English, German, French and Japanese, with a history of more than 100 years. At present, there are ten departments (English, Russian, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic and Translation), one department of English-teaching for non-English majors, seven research centers and one post-doctoral research station at the college. （在段落中出现阿拉伯单位数，显得不正规，以为是系列号）

Since its establishment, the English Department has been industriously engaged in educational practice according to the strategic demands of the country and the needs of social development. The department has provided education to a large number of professionals with high proficiency in both Chinese and English, well educated in literature and culture, and with great knowledge of humanities and social sciences. It has also trained an equal number of talents with abundant general knowledge in independent thinking, effective interpersonal communication, and professional judgement-making. Graduates at different levels from the department are highly successful in their career growth in various fields such as foreign affairs, international cultural exchange, foreign trade, and some of them choose to go overseas undertaking teaching, research work in related fields, or seeking further education.

The Department of English is now recruiting staff members, both domestically and overseas, regardless of nationalities.

High-level Professionals

A. Title and Age: Professors (under 50), associate professors (under 45)。（因为前面已经说过“不考虑国籍，就不用重复了。）

B. Field or Orientation of Research: English and American Literature, Linguistics, translation and studies of countries and areas.

Young Teachers

A. Title and Age: Graduates with PhD degrees from universities in China or overseas (under 35)。（去掉”prestigious“这个词，它在这里很难看。它象是对人说”我们是著名学府“，不是著名学校毕业的不用来。 在我国目前仍在实行的高考制度下， 因各种原因考试差几分不被名校录取的优秀学生不在少数； 他们毕业后在各自领域做成卓越贡献， 甚至成为领军人物的更层出不穷。 想招好学校的毕业生这个想法和做法都不错，但只要藏在招聘负责人心里就可以了， 不必在广告中说出来。）

B.Field or Orientation of Research: English and American Literature, Linguistics, translation and studies of countries and areas.

Post Doctors

A. Title and Age: Graduates with PhD degrees from universities in China or overseas (under 35), graduated less than 3 years ago. （去掉了“prestigious”.）

B.Field or Orientation of Research: English and American Literature, Linguistics, translation and studies of countries and areas.

Foreign Experts

A. Teachers from the US, the UK and other English-speaking countries, with English as the mother-tongue, and with （“a”去掉） master degree, PhD degree preferred。（去掉 “are needed” 语法错误）. Those having PhD degrees, well achieved in academic research and with the title of associate professor can apply ("as"改成for更好些，符合招聘的口吻） for high-level professionals.
