President Obama Meets Tumblr, Makes GIFs, and More

Yesterday, live from the White House State Dining Room, President Obama took to Tumblr to answer questions from Americans across the country about student loans, college access, and all things education.

The event was exciting and informative, and had a few unexpected twists and turns -- which included the fist bump below.

The President Talks About Gun Violence in Yesterday's Tumblr Q&A

During the Q&A, the President addressed the epidemic of gun violence in America. "The country has to do some soul-searching about this," he said. "This is becoming the norm, and we take it for granted in ways that, as a parent, are terrifying to me."

On Monday, the President signed a memorandum directing the Secretary of Education to propose regulations that would allow nearly 5 million federal direct student loan borrowers the opportunity to cap their student loan payments at 10 percent of their income, among other new executive actions to support federal student loan borrowers.
