A Look Back: The Untold History of Women in STEM

Have you heard of Ada Lovelace? Not many people have, but she's actually the world's first computer programmer.

Unfortunately, Ada Lovelace's story is far too familiar. So many extraordinary women have made outstanding breakthroughs and contributions in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) -- yet their stories go untold and too often fade away into obscurity.

Together, we can permanently write their stories into history and inspire future generations of women to pursue careers in STEM.

Listen to women from across the Obama administration share the stories of women who have inspired them -- and pass them on to help inspire others.

Listen to these stories and help write back history.
