【作者簡介】見本書《送蓬仙兄返里有感之一》 Note: In March 1919, for the great cause of opposing imperialism and feudalism in China, Zhou Enlai resolutely decided to give up further studies in Japan, return to his homeland, and join the revolution. This poem was written for his classmates and close friends such as Zhang Honggao, who held a farewell dinner on the eve of his return. At the same time, Zhou Enlai also wrote: “Thinking back from childhood until now, I have truly accomplished nothing, letting the years slip away in vain. I have no face to meet my deceased parents in the netherworld, nor have I lived up to the uncles, teachers, and friends who love me, teach me, and care for me now. To speak more broadly, I have contributed nothing to my country and society. As the saying goes: ‘A person must have aspiration.’” Introduction to the poet: See 《Reflections on Seeing Brother Pengxian Off Home -1 》 by Zhou Enlai.
