Indulgence breeds traitors and the mind grows warped;

Women, children, the aged and the weak find traveling hard.

Falling leaves and yellow blossoms grieve the autumn mood;

Walking against ten-thousand-mile headwinds sleeves are pierced through.

The benevolent loves the people with insight into the future,

The wise have the millions of folks in their minds.

An old man, hair white, meets the boundless autumn;

All The people look forward intently to the great cause coming true.

Family affairs, national affairs and the world’s affairs,

Sons of China must have the valor and fortitude to carry all them on.
